What is the difference between a "BREAKAWAY" halter and the Okeden Bay "RELEASE" halter?
"Breakaway"- Horse must break halter to escape, possibly causing damage to skeletal structure, nerve endings, or facial injuries as a result of the hardware.
Okeden Bay "Release"- A horse in an extreme panic situation can release one or all four points allowing them to escape injury or death. The halter can then be reassembled easily without costly repairs.
Will this halter "release" while doing normal work with my horse?

What kind of detergent do I use to wash the deer skin - Gold line?
A very mild detergent and luke warm water.

Yes, not only because it is lightweight, but trainers have found with head shy horses you can leave the halter on while bridling the horse and then remove it from under the bridle, which seems to help with the issue of head shyness.
I have a riding school mainly teaching children. Would it be hard for children to put the halter on?
No, just open a release point, slip the halter on, and close it. No clips and snaps to work with.
