Sizing Your Okeden Bay Halter

Start with the size that is right for your horse.


Breakaway Horse Halter

The revolutionary design of the Okeden Bay halter provides a blank area at each end of the 4 release points.

These spaces are about 2 1/2 inches in length and allow the user to lengthen or shorten, (as shown) until a perfect fit is  achieved.

Never over shorten adjustment points of crown piece. This will overlap crown peice ends and may cause release points to activate prematurely.

To ensure maximum efficiency of quick release features ensure that halter is fitted properly

Allow 3 - 4 fingers extended outward from the horses face at the throatlatch area (Fig. 1) and noseband area. (Fig. 2)

Extend 2 fingers from the end of the prominent cheekbone to edge of nose ring. (Fig. 3)

ALWAYS REMEMBER....
press firmly at release points after proper adjustment on your horse.

Assembly of Your Okeden Bay Halter

Pinch noseband forward and line up - upper and lower rings of cheek-pieces to matching rings on opposite side.

Thread end of chin strap through ring of connecting strap and insert through ring on opposite side of noseband. Close and press firmly to secure.

Insert throat latch strap through loop of connecting strap , then through upper ring of opposite cheek-piece. Close and press firmly to secure. NEVER tuck loose end of throat latch strap into loop of connecting strap.

Insert each end of crown piece through upper rings of each cheek piece.Close each end and press firmly to secure.

Your quality Okeden Bay Halter is now ready to size. At each release point a 2 1/2 inch blank space allows you to increase or decrease the size as needed. This versatility allows multi horse owners to use one size for several different horses.
